The shortlist of nominated channels is selected by an independent panel of media experts. They view the sample material prepared by the channels and live material. They meet approximately two months in advance of the Awards to evaluate the quality of production and originality of programming and assign three nominations per category.
The jury meeting was held at Eutelsat’s teleport facilities in Rambouillet, France in September 2009.
