What Satellite & Digital TV – also known as WotSat – is a British monthly magazine for digital TV enthusiasts, launched in 1986. In addition to providing wide coverage on British digital TV, it also provides information on overseas TV channels and on the equipment required to watch them. Every month a feature comes out on a different free-to-air channel that entered the HOT BIRD™ TV Awards in 2009.
The feature includes a general presentation of the channel, the description of the five most popular or important programmes, the most prominent hosts. British readers have the chance to know free-to-air channels from the rest of Europe, and to view them thanks to information on the necessary toolkit. The first feature (April issue) is on the Italian channel RED.
The second channel (May issue) covers TRACE TROPICAL, from France.
The June issue sees a feature on Baraem, a channel dedicate to younger audiences, from Qatar.
July covers Body in Balance, lifestyle channel, from the UK.
August focuses on the German channel Deutsche Welle, entered in the HDTV category.
