The HOT BIRD™ TV Awards shine a spotlight on the thematic channels which enrich and diversify the broadcasting experience for many millions of viewers.
Hundreds of channels from around the world enter this annual competition, with the winners selected by an independent panel of media experts and recognized at a gala ceremony in Venice held on Friday 20 November 2009.
Winners announced for 2009!
The winners of this year’s prestigious HOT BIRD™ TV Awards were honoured on November 20 at a gala ceremony in Venice.
Channel representatives, broadcasting professionals and media gathered at the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista: the prize-giving ceremony was preceded by interviews, a show by Kataklò, an internationally acknowledged Italian dance theatre company, 3D videos and music by Cuban-born Niuver. Melissa Porter, host of the event, announced the winners for this year’s edition.
